Booster 21 rolls to the pad, and a correction: the 18th is a Friday
Update (Sept. 15): the target has since moved to September 22; see the newer item.
The hardware is moving. SpaceX rolled Flight 14's Super Heavy Booster 21 out to Pad 2 today, documented in NASASpaceflight's live coverage: the first of the two Flight 14 vehicles to leave the Mega Bays, and exactly the pre-launch rhythm you'd expect for an attempt this week. (Yesterday's item noted both vehicles were still inside as of NASASpaceflight's September 8 report; that's no longer true as of this morning.) The target holds at no earlier than September 18, launch window 7:15–9:14 AM Central (12:15–14:14 UTC), September 19 backup; Next Spaceflight carries the same listing.
Correction (Sept. 13): yesterday's edition (and briefly our homepage and launch guide) called September 18 a Thursday. The 18th is a Friday. The date and window were right, the weekday was our error; it's fixed everywhere on the site as of tonight.
Trip-planner status: still no launch closure orders. The City of Starbase access page's newest mayoral order remains August 30, and the community tracker at Starbase Events likewise shows no closures scheduled as of tonight. Orders typically post two to five days out, so if Friday holds, expect them Monday–Wednesday. Last night's routine overnight road delay (the Pad-to-Production hardware move we flagged yesterday, 10:00 PM–2:00 AM) came and went; Boca Chica Beach is open. Text BEACH to 866-513-3475 for real-time alerts, and start with the launch viewing guide.
