Six days out, Flight 14 firms up: "Go for Launch" on the trackers, a tighter 75-minute window, and 26 satellites, from SpaceX's own page

Flight 14's launch window tightens to 75 minutes, 7:15 to 8:30 AM Central, with 26 Starlink V3 satellites

The date holds. Starship Flight 14 is still targeting no earlier than Tuesday, September 22, and two things sharpened around it. First, Space Launch Schedule flipped its status to "Go for Launch" (September 15, 5:36 PM UTC). Second, and worth being precise about: SpaceX's own Flight 14 page still says the flight is "preparing to launch as soon as Tuesday, September 22, pending regulatory approval." Both can be true at once: the FAA finalized the environmental piece on September 2 (a Final Tiered EA and FONSI/ROD covering the added launch trajectories and the Pacific landing areas this mission uses), but neither SpaceX nor the FAA has announced the launch-license modification itself. Until one of them does, we won't call the paperwork done.

The window tightened: SpaceX lists a 75-minute window opening 7:15 AM Central (closing 8:30 AM; 12:15–13:30 UTC), shorter than the 7:15–9:14 advisory window we published from FAA operations planning last week. And the payload firmed up, straight from SpaceX: 26 Starlink V3 satellites, not the "roughly 20" earlier reporting (ours included) carried, each adding 1 terabit per second of capacity, on a first orbital flight of about 275 km altitude, roughly six orbits, nearly 10 hours end to end. Booster 21 targets a Gulf splashdown; no catch this flight. Correction (Sept. 16): our September 12 item said the ship targets the Indian Ocean; SpaceX's mission page has Ship 41 reentering over the Pacific, splashing down west of Chile. That Pacific corridor is exactly what the FAA's September 2 clearance covers; noted in place below.

Trip-planner status: Boca Chica Beach is open and there are still no launch closure orders. We checked the City of Starbase access page this morning; the newest mayoral orders remain August 28–30. At six days out, expect orders to post roughly September 17–20. Text BEACH to 866-513-3475 for the city's real-time alerts, start with the launch viewing guide, and note the webcast starts about 30 minutes before liftoff on SpaceX's site; that window means pre-dawn positioning if you're watching from the beach or Isla Blanca. Tonight's Garcia Lot special meeting is a separate story, below.
