Flight 14 slips again: now no earlier than Tuesday, September 22

The date has moved a fourth time. Starship Flight 14 is now tracking no earlier than Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with the same published window, 7:15–9:14 AM Central (12:15–14:14 UTC), from Pad 2 at Starbase. Next Spaceflight and Space Launch Schedule both carry the new date, and Wikipedia's mission page agrees; no reason for the slip has been stated publicly, and no backup date has published yet. The full path so far: September 30 → 15 → 18 → 22. If you've seen three different dates floating around this week, that's why; each was right when it was reported. Booster 21 remains the only Flight 14 vehicle we can confirm has rolled to the pad (September 13).

What hasn't changed: this is still slated as Starship's first orbital insertion, carrying roughly 20 operational Starlink V3 satellites, the program's first live payload, with splashdowns instead of tower catches. Our September 12 item has those details and sources.

Trip-planner status: Boca Chica Beach is open and there are still no launch closure orders. We checked the City of Starbase access page today; the newest mayoral order remains August 30 and the road board shows "No Road Delay." If the 22nd holds, expect orders to post roughly September 17–20. The one silver lining of the slip: anyone who had planned a trip around the 18th just got a weekend to adjust. Text BEACH to 866-513-3475 for the city's real-time alerts, and start with the launch viewing guide. Calendar note: the Garcia Lot annexation special meeting is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 16, 7:00 PM.

Correction (Sept. 15): our September 13 item below called the September 21 C-4 annexation hearing a Sunday. September 21 is a Monday, as our September 10 item had it. Fixed in place.
